We salute the CD reissue, on Harmonia Mundi HMA 1901034, of a classic Boston Camerata program, recorded in France in 1979. The music, by Renaissance master Pierre Certon (d. 1572), is suavely beautiful, and earlier releases of this program won numerous distinctions, including a Gramophone nomination for best early music recording of the year, and a highest-rated "Must" from the French review, Compact.
